The Insurance Emporium: Business as Usual During the Coronavirus Outbreak

We’ve all had to make some considerable changes recently, and it’s been no different here at The Insurance Emporium. Our set up may have had to evolve, but we want to reassure you that business is very much as usual*!

Homeworking

In line with government advice, The Insurance Emporium team have vacated our York-based office to work remotely from home. We take the wellbeing of all our staff very seriously, so worked quickly to ensure every single employee was set up with everything they need. While we all miss seeing each other at Emporium HQ, our existing online presence has enabled us to make this transition seamlessly. Which all means that our customers are still receiving the high standard of service they’re used to.

Claims

If you need to make a claim, or have an ongoing claim, nothing has changed. We’re still processing claims as quickly as ever. All claims are processed within 15 working days, and we’re processing 99% of claims within five working days. So, you can rest assured that should you need to submit a claim it will be dealt with as quickly as ever.

You can get in touch with our claims department in the same way as usual. Our claims form can be downloaded on our website or through our customer portal. If you have any questions you can also contact our claims team on 03300 244 006. 

Policies

If you already have a policy with us, we would like to assure you that your cover will still be valid and your cover will remain as stated in your most recent policy wording*. However, due to the ongoing concern regarding COVID-19, we’ve taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend the sale of all new UK and Overseas Wedding Insurance policies. We have also suspended the sale of our Premium Waiver Optional Benefit. We hope that this will avoid any confusion for our new and existing policyholders with regards to what they may or may not be covered for.

At The Insurance Emporium, we’ve made some slight changes to provide support for our policyholders who may be vulnerable during this time. We’re offering Pet Insurance policyholders up to 90 days’ extended cover should treatment be delayed due to COVID-19, providing we have confirmation from the vets and all premiums are kept up to date. We’re also encouraging all policyholders to provide BACS details to pay claims directly into your bank account or to the vets, minimising any delays to the payment process.
