GOOD THINGS HAPPEN AWARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Good Things Happen Awards 2026 (the “Awards”) are organised and administered by The Equine and Livestock Insurance Company Limited, trading as The Insurance Emporium, Thorpe Underwood Hall, Ouseburn, York, YO26 9SS (“The Insurance Emporium”). By submitting a nomination, entrants agree to these Terms and Conditions.

  1. Eligibility

1.1 The Awards are open to individuals, businesses, organisations and charities based in the United Kingdom.
1.2 Entrants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of nomination.
1.3 Nominations may be submitted by the nominee themselves or a third party nominating a person, organisation or business.
1.4 If nominating someone other than yourself, you must ensure you have the nominee’s consent before submitting their details.
1.5 Employees of The Equine and Livestock Insurance Company Limited and their subsidiaries are not eligible to enter.

  1. Awards Categories

Awards are available across categories aligned to The Insurance Emporium’s insurance products. Full details of categories and nomination requirements will be published on the official Awards webpage. The Insurance Emporium reserves the right to amend, combine or remove categories if necessary.

  1. Nomination Period

The key dates for the Awards are as follows:

  • Nominations open: 20th April 2026
  • Nominations close: 31st May 2026
  • Internal shortlisting completed by: 26th June 2026
  • Expert judging panel: 17th July 2026 – 11th September 2026
  • Public voting: 3rd August 2026 – 11th September 2026
  • Awards ceremony: 25th September 2026

Nominations received after the closing date will not be accepted.

  1. How to Enter

4.1 Nominations must be submitted through the official entry form on The Insurance Emporium website.
4.2 Entrants must provide the required information for the relevant category which may include name of nominee, relevant contact details, one photograph or video of up to 15 seconds, and a written description supporting the nomination.
4.3 Entrants must also provide confirmation they hold copyright or permission to use any submitted content, permission for The Insurance Emporium to use submitted material for promotional purposes, confirmation they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions, and acknowledgement of The Insurance Emporium’s Privacy Policy.
4.4 Multiple nominations are permitted; however each nomination must be submitted separately.
4.5 Incomplete, illegible or corrupted submissions may be disqualified.

  1. Content and Submission Requirements

5.1 All photos, videos and descriptions submitted must be original or used with the copyright holder’s permission, must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, must not contain offensive, defamatory or inappropriate material, and must comply with applicable laws and regulations.
5.2 By submitting images, videos or written content, entrants grant The Insurance Emporium a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish and display the content for the purpose of promoting the Awards and The Insurance Emporium.
5.3 Entrants confirm that any individuals featured in submitted photos or videos have given consent for their image to be used.

  1. Judging and Public Voting

6.1 After the nomination period closes, eligible entries will be reviewed by The Insurance Emporium and shortlisted.
6.2 Shortlisted nominations may be assessed by an independent expert judging panel.
6.3 The judging panel will consider factors such as creativity, originality, quality and relevance to the category.
6.4 The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
6.5 Other categories may include public voting which will take place between 3rd August 2026 and 11th September 2026.

  1. Winners and Awards Ceremony

7.1 Winners will be announced at the Good Things Happen Awards ceremony on 25th September 2026.
7.2 Winners may also be notified via the contact details provided during nomination.
7.3 If a winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, The Insurance Emporium reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
7.4 The Insurance Emporium reserves the right to substitute or withdraw any award if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.

  1. Publicity

8.1 Winners and shortlisted nominees may be required to participate in publicity relating to the Awards.
8.2 By entering, participants agree that their name, images, videos and submitted information may be used by The Insurance Emporium in marketing materials, press releases, website content, social media and other promotional channels.

  1. Data Protection

9.1 Personal data supplied during the nomination process will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
9.2 Information provided may be used for the administration of the Awards and, where consent has been given, for marketing communications from The Insurance Emporium.

  1. General

10.1 The Insurance Emporium reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and nominations.
10.2 The Insurance Emporium accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, incomplete or corrupted entries, or technical failures affecting entry submission or voting.
10.3 The Insurance Emporium reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Awards where it becomes necessary to do so.
