7 GOLFERS TO WATCH IN 2019!

There’s fewer things better in life than getting out on the fairway for a day of magical golfing adventures! 2018 has been a memorable year of golf; there’s been the much talked about resurgence of Tiger Woods, another Ryder Cup win for Europe and Brooks Koepka’s amazing two major wins! At The Insurance Emporium, we want you to stay on top of your game. Which is why we’re looking ahead to the 7 golfers to watch in 2019!

1. Bryson DeChambeau

DeChambeau is probably the biggest personality on the list! He’s known as the “Scientist” after majoring in physics, and using his scientific know-how to perfect his swing and clubs! Renowned for his dedication and attempts to become a model of consistency, he’s also playing really well at the moment. He’s won six professional tournaments in the past three years, rising to fifth in the world rankings! As a relative newcomer, he still has much to prove…

2. An Byeong-hun (Ben An)

Hailing from South Korea, An Byeong-hun was the youngest US Amateur Champion in 2009 at just age 17! Since then he’s won three professional tournaments and is becoming a bit of a superstar in Asia! He remains modest, however, and prefers to focus on his swing, which is both simple and efficient. Ranked in the top 50, he could be destined to hit new heights over the next year!

3. Jeongeun Lee6

Another Korean on the list is Jeongeun Lee6. Her name features the number six because she’s the sixth person with the name Jeongeun Lee to play on the KLPGA scorecard! In Korea, she even has her own fan club known as “Lucky 6”! Lee6 won the inaugural Q-Series in 2018, bringing her to number 19 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. At 22 years of age, Lee6 already has seven victories on the KLPGA under her belt. Could 2019 be her lucky year?

4. Branden Grace

Since turning professional in 2007, Branden Grace has notched up eleven international victories and a PGA Tour win! The South African, currently ranked in the top 50, keeps breaking records! In 2012 he was the first golfer to win his first four European Tour titles within a single year. Then in 2017, he became the first man to record a sub-63 score in the Open Championship! Let’s see what he can achieve this year!

5. Kramer Hickok

He may be further down the world rankings, but Kramer Hickok has been proving that he’s more than just Jordan Spieth’s ex-housemate! Since turning professional in 2017, he’s earned himself a couple of victories and is going into his first PGA Tour season with bags of confidence!

6. Jaclyn Lee

Canadian golfer Jaclyn Lee has only just made the decision to turn professional, after announcing it on social media in December! It’s hardly surprising though, given that she picked up her LPGA Tour card for 2019 after finishing sixth in the Q-Series LPGA tournament. Although she’ll be finishing off her studies in Ohio into the spring, this looks like it could be her breakthrough year!

7. Cameron Champ

Already ranked in the top 100 at age 23, Cameron Champ is becoming known for his extraordinarily long drives! The Californian has turned heads by driving the ball a huge 328 yards off the tee in 2018! Winning 2 professional tournaments since turning professional in 2017, he has risen more than 100 places in the world rankings over the past year! Watch out for the Champ!
