At The Insurance Emporium, we know how much cat and dog owners love their furry friends. It’s tough to think about anything going wrong for your pets, but insurance could make those difficult times a little easier. Our pet insurance policies are designed to allow you to care for your pet should anything go wrong, without breaking the bank. While there are some more obvious benefits to pet insurance, we also provide cover for things that might not have even crossed your mind! That’s why we’ve put together our list of useful pet insurance benefits that you won’t want to overlook.

Vet’s Fees

We’re putting the most obvious one at the top, but it’s probably the most important. Trips to the vets can run into the thousands, especially if your feline friend or canine companion needs medication or an operation to save their life. At The Insurance Emporium, we provide Vet’s Fees cover up to £8,000 for both Dog Insurance and Cat Insurance policies.*

Holiday Cancellation

Unfortunately, you can’t predict when your pet might fall ill or have an accident requiring treatment. There’s never a right time for either of these things to happen, but they could absolutely fall at the wrong time. At The Insurance Emporium, we provide Holiday Cancellation cover up to £1,750* if your pet needs emergency, life-saving surgery and you’ve booked a trip away. This cover might allow you to stay by your pet’s side without the worry of your holiday money going to waste, and potentially allow you to book another trip when your furry friend is feeling better!

Boarding Kennel & Cattery Fees

In certain situations, it can be you who falls ill, and unable to look after your pet. If you are hospitalised for at least three days, we’ll pay boarding kennel or cattery fees up to £1,250,* helping you ensure your four-legged friend is given the care they deserve while you’re unable to look after them.

Advertising & Reward

It’s never nice to think about your dog or cat going missing. Unfortunately, it does happen. Our Advertising & Reward benefit covers the cost of advertising for the return of your pet, as well as paying a reward for its return, up to the sum of £850.* More publicity and the chance of a reward can increase the chances of you and your furry friend being reunited, and getting your pet back home safe and sound.

Accidental Damage

Sometimes dogs and cats can be cheeky, and do something they definitely shouldn’t! Pets are prone to causing accidental damage to things, which can be even worse when the property they damage isn’t yours. At The Insurance Emporium, we offer cover up to £800* if your dog or cat causes damage to another person’s personal property, so you don’t need to worry if your pet acts out of character!

These are all standard benefits of our Time Limited, Maximum Benefit and Lifetime Pet Insurance policies. We also offer a range of Optional Benefits, allowing you to tailor your policy to suit you and your pet’s needs, including European Cover, Euthanasia and Cremation, and National Pet Register. You could even benefit from up to 30% discount^ on a Pet Insurance policy! Head on down to The Insurance Emporium to find out more.

* These figures are all based on lunar and calendar monthly Lifetime Gold policies. Terms and conditions apply, please see the Policy Wording for more information.

^ The 30% discount is made up of 20% Introductory Discount plus 10% Multi-pet Discount (if appropriate). The Introductory Discount is available for the first 12 premium payments on lunar and calendar monthly policies or one premium payment on annual policies.
