"Win a trip tracking gorillas in Uganda" Competition Terms and Conditions
1 The Promoter
The promoter is The Equine and Livestock Insurance Company Limited trading as The Insurance
Emporium of Thorpe Underwood Hall, Ouseburn, York YO26 9SS.
2 The competition
The title of the competition is "Win a trip tracking gorillas in Uganda with The Insurance
3 How to enter
3.1 The competition will run from 1pm on 9th August 2017 (the "Opening Date") to 11:59pm on 14th
October 2017 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 11:59pm on the
Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 Enter the competition online by submitting your email address on the competition page on our
website www.theinsuranceemproium.co.uk by the Closing Date.
3.4 No purchase necessary and there is no charge to enter the competition.
3.5 The Promoter will not accept:
3.5.1 responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit,
regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems,
satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
3.5.2 proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3.8 The competition entries will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process.
4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over,
4.1.1 employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
4.1.2 employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are
connected with the competition or its administration; or
4.1.3 members of the immediate families or households of 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 above.
4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the
prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
4.3.1 automatically generated by computer;
4.3.2 completed by third parties or in bulk;
4.3.3 illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
4.3.4 photocopies and not originals; or
4.4 There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted

5 The prize
5.1 The prize is a gorilla safari trip to Uganda for two persons.
5.2 The trip is provided by Natural World Safaris Ltd of 3rd Floor, West Wing, 2 Bartholomews, Brighton,
BN1 1HG (CRN: 05649357).
5.3 The trip, which must conclude no later than midnight 31 December 2017, includes two return flights
from London Heathrow to Entebbe via Nairobi with Kenya Airways, VIP meet & greet service, private transfers in
Entebbe and Nairobi, shared vehicle transfers in 4x4 vehicle with a local English speaking driver/guide in
Bwindi, 2 night stay including breakfast at Boma Guesthouse, Entebbe, 3 night stay including breakfast, lunch and
dinner at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, including park entrance fees and 2 Gorilla Permits per person.
5.4 The prize does not include travel insurance, travel to or from London Heathrow airport, food and
drink other than that specified in clause 5.3, spending money, tax, personal expenses, tips, vaccinations, the
cost of any passports, visas or travel documentation or any out of pocket expenses (including phone, room
service, early or late check in/out and gifts). Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out at clause 5.3 above and that are incidental to
the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
5.5 You will be responsible for ensuring that you and any person travelling with you are available to
travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents, and any vaccinations necessary for
the holiday in question on the travel dates specified. Both you and any person travelling with you must
be a UK resident and aged 18 or over. The travel dates specified cannot be changed.
5.6 There is no cash alternative for the prize.
5.7 The prize is supplied by Natural World Safaris Ltd (the "Supplier"). The Promoter reserves the right
to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the
Promoter's control make it necessary to do so. You agree to comply with the Supplier's terms and conditions.
5.8 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
6 Winner announcement
6.1 The winner of the competition will be announced on The Insurance Emporium Facebook page on 18th
October 2017 ("Announcement Date").
6.2 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3 The Promoter will contact the winner personally on the Announcement Date, using the email address
provided with the competition entry.
6.4 The Promoter will send the name and county of the winner to anyone who writes within one month after
the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the winner and who encloses a self-addressed envelope
to the address set out in clause 1.
7 Claiming the prize
7.1 If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 5 days from the Announcement Date to claim the
prize by accepting the prize and confirming the details requested from us in our email to you. If you do not
claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
7.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.3 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be
contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 5 of days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter
reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected randomly from the entries that were
received before the Closing Date in accordance with these terms and conditions.
7.4 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
8 Limitation of liability
8.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any
circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage,
personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of
the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9 Data protection and publicity
9.1 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and
county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and
